Hey Trine fans!
Ready to hop back into the world of Trine? The Trine 6: Together in Time demo is out now on PC as part of Steam Next Fest. Check it out here:
Trine 6 is a new co-op-first puzzle platforming adventure for solo play or 1–4 player local and online co-op. The demo gives you a first look at its platforming, puzzles, combat, and teamwork-focused challenges.
You’ll be able to play choose from all five heroes: Amadeus, Zoya, Pontius, and two brand-new playable characters, Moira and Adrius. The demo also includes the first tiers of hero skill unlocks and two levels from the full adventure:
- The Isle of Souls
- Search for a familiar spirit on a mysterious island of the dead, then make your escape.
- The Hearty Quag
- Battle through Belvedek’s Shrubling minions and face Grim, a boss born from your own inner darkness.
The demo is only a small slice of the full game, and some content may change based on player feedback. Progress will not transfer to the full game.
If you try it, we’d love to hear what you think in the comments or reviews. Wishlists really help us spread the word, and Trine 6 really shines in 2–4 player co-op, so invite a friend or two along!

This is the review I left on steam but I post it here too in hopes you read it.
Criticism and suggestions at the end.
I’ve loved the trine series ever since I found the first one. I’ve played around 413 hours officially and probably the same amount before I bought the games on steam. That being said, here’s the criticism:
IMPORTANT:
– It seems as if Amadeus is getting the short end of the stick with all the new general movement skills and other abilities, not to mention the puzzles which seem more guided towards movement, precise timing, aiming, etc… I really hope he won’t become the character that feels out of place or too optional.
– Zoya is missing her ability to grow and shrink her rope after using it. This is a weird ability to remove in my opinion and makes the parts where the rope can or should be used feel bad as it’s harder to adjust.
– The new puzzles feel great and I love the more fast paced and skill based type of puzzle, but I really think it’s important that the other kind of puzzles from the previous games that were more about thinking and planning rather than movement also appear in the same ammount.
PERSONAL:
– I haven’t been able to find any mention of Pontius’ ground stomp ability and I really love that one. Please do not remove it, it feels like it’s part of his personality ever since he got it.
Hello,
I’ve been a fan of this game since I was a child, and now I’m 37 years old. Version 5 was excellent, but in my opinion, Version 2 was a true masterpiece.
I hope you can make the game’s visual style a bit darker. The weapons currently lack depth, the enemies feel too simple, and the AI seems weak. The boss battles should be much more challenging and powerful.
It would also be great if the characters had more voice reactions during combat. The graphics have become a little too cartoonish for my taste. On the positive side, the gameplay is fantastic, and the fact that there are virtually no loading screens is absolutely amazing.
I’m from Iran, and I really hope this game turns out to be a huge success. You guys are doing an excellent job. I’d especially love to see a desert-themed level added to the game someday.
It would be a shame for all the hard work you’ve put in not to be fully reflected in the visuals. In the previous version, the background environments looked clearer and had more depth. Now they seem more blurred, and personally, I don’t find that as appealing.
Keep up the great work!
What happened to the mechanics of the boxes in Amadeus? Is there no way to move them more freely?
The way the box-making mechanics were redesigned didn’t work well! Before, we could place them wherever we wanted, but now, this “chain” that holds the boxes together makes it harder to position them!
The free levitation of boxes was initially designed as skill upgrade in Trine 6 (in the demo we released) but after player feedback, it has been changed so that it will be available from the start. So you’ll be able to place them where you want 🙂
Just one question: what about Melody of Mystery on Switch? I’d like to play it with a friend, but from what I can see, despite the announcements, nothing happened…
It’s unfortunately still in a limbo due to a number of reasons. Hopefully we can get it out at some point.
