3D model of a scarecrow in Trine 2.
As many of you may have noticed, Trine 2 has tons of 3D assets spread out in the levels, some are small and others large, but mostly they are very high in detail even if you can’t always notice it.
This scarecrow for example can’t really be seen that well, due to all that sun light shining, but if you play on really high resolution and squint then you can see that he is made up of lots of small details.
It’s things like these that are the backbone of Trine 2’s art direction, making stuff look good even if just for one second in the background. 😉
We played through the Trine 2 pre-release yesterday, and the artwork like this was beautiful! Great work!
Glad you liked it Anton. 🙂 Release date details coming very soon and a new trailer this week with an orchestral version of the T2 main theme.
Wooow… Orchestral version of Trine 2 main theme??? This song will be on collectors edition? =]
Congratulations for this amazing game!
Thanks in advance!
It’s this kind of attention to detail that selects the great from the normal games.
Congrats, playing the beta, the art is awesome, mind-blowing.
This is literally astonishing. To put such an accurate 3D model for something that appears to be a mere shade in the sun. I wonder, if this was a coincidence. Perhaps, in the beginning the lighting should have been differend and all the details were more visible? Else it really is a pity that so many details will never be seen by a player.
