We launched a beta of Trine Enchanted Edition on Steam in June, and now we are happy to report the time has come for the official launch. The most observant of Steam users already spotted a new Achievement for Trine called “Enchanted” earlier last week. I’m happy to clear a bit of the confusion today by revealing what this is all about. Trine is getting a free update on Steam, called Trine Enchanted Edition, starting with a beta today. Last Thursday the Frozenbyte gang was honored with the “Best Artistic Achievement” award from the Nordic Game Awards. Visible on the top right and in the bottom pic. This makes two in total when we count our “Kyöpeli” statue standing proud right next to the plaque. The statue was voted earlier this year by the readers of the “Pelit” magazine here in Finland. Yea, what really is this thing called Trine? Well dictionary.net defines it as something to do with stars aligning and also as a synonym for the Trinity. I personally am more of a fan of the urbandictionary definition, even though it has even less to do with what our game actually is. 🙂 Also TotalBiscuit of Youtube fame has also his own definition in the above video, which is a very nice video to say the least.
