Trine 2 come up with ideas

Disc Golf discs featuring Zoya. These are just some of the examples of some bonus merchandise we will get out there eventually. Trine 2 will also get small Pontius figurines (still under construction) and hopefully t-shirts, posters, etc. If you want a chance to win some of these, let us know what kinds of competitions you might want. We have opened a new thread about this on the forums and already have a couple of ideas of our own. ๐Ÿ™‚ -Mikael

More support added as D-Day approaches

This is FB_Esa. He will be one of the not so many, but very knowledgeable support helpers from now on. As a full time tester for the last months, Esa and others like him have beat Trine 2 some many times that they can likely speedrun it blind folded. If you go to our forums you can ask him, FB_Jussi, and other new guys almost anything. What you can also do is ask for people to play the beta with and one of our not so busy support staff will gladly slay some goblins at your side. That is all. […]

Four Knights is better than three

Well this is a little awkward, four Pontius clones in a game that supports a maximum of three players in co-op. Of course there is a reason for all this, the Trine has a brother called Quatrine, who just wanted to show off by one upping his sibling. But all kidding aside, this is just an example of one of the few bugs that we have recently been fixing. Basically instead of the wizard, the knight starts off the tutorial levels, and eventually meets himself at the end. Pretty cool if you ask me …and on the topic of asking […]

Nvidia 3D vision and Mac/PC multiplayer now available in the Steam beta.

So it is not a great surprise that we are using Nvidia technology for a lot of stuff. PhysX is an integral part of all our games and 3D Vision made the first Trine even more beautiful. Now Trine 2 has Nvidia 3D Vision support too and all of you out there can go test it out right now, since it is already available in the beta. Here is a 3D teaser screenshot if you don’t already have beta access (Only works with the aforementioned hardware). And just to clarify on the multiplayer features, Steam now supports PC/Mac online multiplayer, […]

Also the special, fantabulous Collector’s Edition is now listed too. Get the Trine 2 Original Soundtrack and a great digital artbook as added bonuses for only $24.99 (EUR 19.99, GBP 17.99). Ari Pulkkinen has been working like crazy to get that sountrack to be as beautiful as it can possibly be, so be sure to check that out. -Mikael

First promo station with Trine 2

Today there was a large tech store opening here in Helsinki and in their shadow also the first place to play Trine 2. This is located near the Subway at the Verkkokauppa.com complex for all those in the area that might want to go try the game. We would love to open up more of these around the world, but right now we are just way too busy to make it happen. Hopefully this helps out some of you until next month and then we all get to enjoy the game. ๐Ÿ™‚ -Mikael

Trine 2 Achievements

Now that Trine 2 beta is available on Steam, some of you may have noticed the achievements list also. Actually many of the achievements can already be completed in the beta, and funnily at least one of them can be done in our start up screen, that is playable this time around. Five achievements featured in the video and many more await you in the game. So this video is a little sneak peek into what cool things you can be working on next month, when Trine 2 launches. -Mikael

Trine 2 packs in much more than meets the eye

With the release of Trine 2 just about a month away and the beta already fully playable (to Steam pre-purchasers), we decided to gather up some of our dry humor and put together a small information pack in the form of a TV Shop commercial. I’m sure this ad won’t make it to any TV channels, but hopefully you get a chuckle out of it and maybe even like it. ๐Ÿ™‚ -Mikael

Control Freak

When you start up Trine 2 on PC (and Mac), we are making sure that all of the possible controllers out there are configured correctly. So far we have bought, tested and binded button configs for about 15 different pads and expect the number to grow to about 20, thus hopefully we can cover about 90% of the options out there. Keyboard and mouse support will still be available and better than ever, but if you want to play 3 player local co-op, I think using additional controllers might be the way to go. That is unless you and your […]
